recovery - fundraising - return

After recovering our rental trailer in Fort Myers, Florida we were facing some logistical nightmares trying to get the trailer back to California.

Not the smallest of things to pack we would need to have a skid manufactured, the trailer lashed down to it, and a large forklift to lift it on to the back of a truck.

Trying to organize this from a distance of 2600 miles was proving to be difficult and expensive.

To make something positive out of this event we started to work on a fundraiser that would benefit The Disabled Explorers

Disabled Explorers are a new resource, they work to empower the disabled to undertake their own vehicle enhanced back country exploration. Offering Ride-A-Long events, Driver & Recovery Training, Gear Reviews, and Guided Trips.

All funds raised during the return journey, from Florida to California, will go directly to the Disabled Explorers.

Along the route our team will be coordinating "Meet and Greets". You will have a chance to visit with Joe, the driver, get to see the infamous trailer, and meet fellow enthusiasts.
